Maimana City (BNA) Fourteen Taliban militants including their three leaders were killed and five others were wounded in northern Faryab province.
Sayad Aqa Andarabi security commander of Faryab said BNA, during the past 48 hours Taliban attacked on Afghan national police and up-risers people checkpoints, in which their attack push back by Afghan security forces and the militants sustained heavy losses.
Mullah Faizullah alias to Jandullah, Qari Naqibullah and Sabghatullah known as Mullah Atiqullah the commanders of armed rebels were among the dead and five others were wounded.
The source added, some heavy and light weapons have been discovered and seized following the operation.
