Sar-e-Pul (BNA) Nine armed militants were arrested in Afghan security forces operation in Sar-e-Pul province last night.
Shaheen 209 army corps spokesman told BNA, the militants were arrested in suburb of the province in a clearing operation which was launched by Afghan security forces.
So far, 50 mines and three hideouts of the militants were demolished in the operation, said the source.
Likewise, nine motorbikes and numerous of heavy and light weapons of the militants were seized in the operation.
Several villages of the province were also clean up from insurgents.
It is said that the operation continues till annihilation of insecure regions from militants in that province.
