Kabul (BNA) The country’s security forces are enjoying all-inclusive support for the people, helping them get success in the battlefield against the government armed oppositions, an official said. Spokesman for the ministry of national defense, Daulat Waziri told that the Afghan National Security Forces are being firmly supported by the people and this has caused them get success in war on insurgency.
“No security, except the people support the security and defense forces. Tanks and artilleries could remain troubleshooter, unless the country’s armed forces were supported by the people, so the main factor of their victories in fighting terrorism and growing insurgency was the people support,” said Brig. Gen. Waziri. Pointing to the type of the people support to the Afghan forces, he said if they refrain from providing safe asylum in their houses and reporting the security forces duly about the areas, where suspected individuals are found, would help the country’s armed forces get success against any type of insurgency in the country. He said the people cooperation would help the security forces foil any plots by insurgent to launch distractive activities and placing roadside mines among the crowds.
Waziri called the security forces of the country, the real protector of the country and said the people’s support to the security forces would help lessen the enemy’s attacks and offensives. The country’s political and military experts also emphasized on the people support to the armed forces of the country, as they said the only way to overcome terrorism, was the people’s support and cooperation with the defense and security forces. After the power transition from the international coalition to the Afghan forces, they proved they could alone defend the country and restore security of the Afghan citizens, said Hashemi, a member of the house of people. The only way to strengthen morality of the security and defense forces was the people support to the Afghan troops in the battlefield, he said adding the people’s support could hearten the forces retake control of the lost provinces and drive militants from many troubled areas of Afghanistan. Atiqullah Amarkhil believed, the budget, the government is expected to spend for armament of the illegal individuals should use in strengthening of the country’s legitimate security forces, in order to help them get success in war on the militants.
The government of national unity should use all means and invest well on the country’s operative and intelligence in order to prevent the suicide bombers and distractive groups supported beyond the country’s borders, to reach their target.
