Kabul (BNA) In a terrorist attack on Afghan national army forces in Ghazi Abad district, Kunar province, 21 ANA soldiers were killed and their bodies were relocated to Kabul and handed over to their relatives in a special ceremony which was attended by government authorities and a number of presidential candidates.
Different reactions were expressed by the victims’ families, countrymen and workers of social networks. The victims’ families and relatives asked the government to enforce justice and persecute the criminals behind this attack and punish them. They said, we don’t want peace with those who kill our sons and family members every day. There was an 18 years old young soldier among the victims whose family was preparing to marry him. But he failed to witness his wedding. Sher Khan his brother said, my brother wished to marry but regrettably he was killed.
Delbar Khan a family member of another martyred soldier said, we ask the government to prosecute and punish those murderers. Ghulam Hussein who has lost his 34 years old son was not able to talk but he said, I cannot tolerate death of my son. While security officials blame Pakistan for this deadly attack, the Afghan Minister of National Defense who had attended the ceremony, hints to a country but didn’t tough her name. Gen. Besmillah Mohammadi said, since over fifteen years enemies of Afghan people ordered by certain circles to deadly attacks in Afghanistan. Baktash Seyawash a law maker said, the Afghan armed forces belong to oppressed and poor people of this country and are serving under the flag of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and fighting to this government. What is very important is this that we should improve ANSF moral and support the victims’ families. Those who killed these soldiers are enemies of the Afghan people. The MoD spokesman Gen. Zaher Azimi said, in this attack Pakistan, Arab, Chechens plus local insurgents were involved. But we should support our security forces. A number of presidential candidates called these killed ANA soldiers as the “Martyrs of Peace” Dr. Abdullah Abdullah a presidential candidate said, these innocent ANA soldiers have been martyred in the defense of this country and they are martyrs of path and cause of peace. They are martyred by criminals.
Another presidential candidate Dr. Zalmai Rassoul kept silence and suspended his presidential campaign for one day. According to the members of his electoral staff, the one day expenditures of Dr. Zalmi Rassoul campaign will be paid to the victims’ families. Countrymen also condemn killing of 21 ANA soldiers by Taliban insurgents and asked the government to announce one day national mourning. Pan Afghans share themselves in this mourning. Members of social networks also clearly reacted against this terrorist attack. The expressing of a father who has lost his son in this attack, were extensively reflected. This father has said that he will send his other son to ANA to defend the country. This network considers attack on ANA soldiers the work of foreign circles. It has been said that killing of 21 ANA soldiers was the most deadly attack in recent years.
