Kabul (BNA) The United Nations has set up a special fund to fight poverty and the resulting humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
With the creation of this fund, the aid of the countries of the world for people of Afghanistan is to be spent directly on arresting the needy people.
Germany is the first country to contribute $ 58 million to special fund to fight poverty and the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Akhim Steiner, director of the United Nations Development Program, told reporters that the fund’s money, in addition to providing food to needy families, would be used to create jobs and even lend to the private sector so that Afghans could live in their country and not be forced to leave.
Steiner called on countries around the world to use the fund to help alleviate poverty and the resulting humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Unemployment crisis, non-payment of government employees, freezing of at least ten billion Afghan dollars by the international community and its closure in the process of banking services are cited as the causes of increasing poverty and the resulting humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
