Kandahar (BNA) A Taliban commander with eight of others was detained in Kandahar province yesterday.
Press in charge of Kandahar said to this news agency, these militias were detained in a mopping up operation of Afghan and coalition forces from Zheri district of Kandahar province.
Among the arrested men, a Taliban commander was included and a quantity of arms and ammunition of them were seized by these forces as well, said the source.
Two day’s back, in a mopping up operation in Kandahar province, an 8 member group was detained from Zheri district of that province.
Zheri district located in 35 Km of Kandahar city and is one of the insecure districts of Kandahar province.
