Herat (BNA) Taliban loyalist was arrested during commando forces raid in Herat.
Another Taliban member was also killed in the attack.
The Taliban reportedly intended to attack checkpoint in Zawl district, which faces by security forces resistance.
A spokesman for the commando force in the west told BNA that one Taliban insurgent was killed and another was detained in the raid.
Another report says, a Taliban mine planter was killed in his own mine explosion in Herat.
The gunman wanted to plant a mine on a road in Shindand district when a mine exploded in his hands and claimed his life.
