National City Transport Committee Holds Session

Kabul (BNA) National City Transport Committee’s session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of special envoy to President on reforms and good governance, Ahmad Zia Massoud and participation of deputy ministers of urban development, transport and civil aviation, deputies of Afghanistan independent land administration and national environment authority and representatives of Kabul municipality, ministry of finance and general directorate of traffic and Kabul city traffic department. In the session, officials for ministries of transport and urban development briefed related to previous decisions of the committee in connection with providing topography report of transportation terminal in east and west of Kabul city. Jarullah Mansouri, deputy minister of transport and civil aviation by providing the terminal’s topography map designed according to the international standards submitted to deputy minister of urban development Amruddin Salik, promising that the primary map of the terminal would be prepared within two months and delivered it to the next session. For primary procurement of the terminals and specification of Kabul western terminal the land of which should be specified, special envoy to president ordered that a joint working committee should be formed from Kabul municipality, ministries of urban development and transport and independent lands authority, asking the committee to deliver report related to specification of the terminal’s land within a week to office of the special envoy to president. Meanwhile, director of road reconstruction department for Kabul municipality delivered the session report related to execution of the cabinet’s previous decision in connection with not entering huge vehicles to Kabul city.
