Removing Black Films From Vehicles, Collecting Illegal Arms Begins

Kabul (BNA) In efforts to further stabilize security in the capital city and check lawlessness, police on Saturday began removing black films from vehicles and collecting illegal weapons.
Talking with BNA, the Kabul police chief General Mohammad Zahir Zahir said that the operations which began yesterday will last for 15 days. He also noted that roaming black film vehicles on the streets causing security problems and launching the operations to remove black film is a step towards strengthening security in the capital city.
General Zahir also stated that the level of crimes is low in Kabul. However, he pointed out that taking step to check crimes is necessary.
A police officer in a Kabul cross-road said, “I have ordered to remove black films and would accomplish it irrespective of the government status of anyone and police is serious in this regard.”
Black films from several vehicles including one of an official have been removed today and the operation will continue as per plan, the police officer said.
