Police Concerning Over Illegal Weapons, Tainted Glasses Vehicles In Kabul City

Kabul (BNA) Kabul police chief in consultative session held with participation of representatives of various PDs of Kabul said Kabul police is concerned over power mongering, carrying illegal weapons and using tainted glasses vehicles in Kabul city.
In the session, Kabul police Chief Gen. Mohammad Zahir Zahir and representatives of various PDs of the city discussed improvement of security and reduction of crimes in the city. Kabul police chief briefed the session a series of problems with which police is facing and considered power mongering of powerful individuals, carrying illegal weapons and using of tainted glasses vehicles as concerning issue for Kabul police.
Kabul police chief did not reject corruption in Kabul police, but saying the corruption was not that much which was reported. He also touched presence of illiterate individuals in police organ, saying nearly 6000 individuals of Kabul police are illiterate and efforts are underway to provide professional trainings to them. Related to environmental and social problems of the city and programs of Kabul police, Kabul police chief said, “We daily collect nearly 200-300 wanders from various areas and vicinity of schools, but they are not improved and we’re asking you to cooperate with police in this regard.” Meanwhile Senator Nisar Ahmad Haris and representative of people in Wolisi Jirga, Baktash Seyawash enumerated a series of problems originating in particular from presence of illegal arms in the city, asking for solution of problems of Kabul residents.
