Nato will continue its mission in Afghanistan

Sunday June 19, 2016
Kabul (BNA) NATO has declared that it would continue its mission which is training and strengthening Afghan security forces.
BNS analyst commenting on the issue writes recently NATO member countries defense ministers committing their support from Afghan security forces concluded their session at Brussels the headquarters of that organization. Meanwhile they have said that they would maintain their forces in Kabul and other cities of Afghanistan. The NATO general secretary has said that they would continue to consult and support Afghan security forces, because, they need our support. The session of NATO member countries defense ministers has held on the eve of the summit of the countries due to be hold in Warsaw the capital of Poland next month. At the summit, Afghanistan and the cooperation of NATO to that country will be at focus of discussion. The participants of the summit will renew their commitment regarding to financially, logistically and weaponry supporting Afghan security forces. What have discussed at the session of NATO defense ministers and agreed upon is good news for Afghan people who fight against terrorism that threatens the whole world. Therefore, it would be the moral obligation of international community to support Afghan forces in this horrible struggle against terrorism.
What the defense ministers of NATO member countries agreed at their last session and what will discuss at Warsaw conference will affect the security, political and economic situation of Afghanistan, but it is a clear fact that such aids, mainly depend on condition of the country. Certain circles in western countries repeatedly claimed that Afghanistan is a burden on shoulders of international community, but the Afghans rejecting that say, they have never wanted to be a burden on shoulders of international community, but, the problem is that the current problem in Afghanistan has foreign factors. Our country is the prey of great games and ambitious objectives of foreign countries that use terrorist and extremist groups as a means for achieving those evil and hideous goals. Therefore, for settling the problem there is an urgent need for an international gathering and solidarity among all nations. The Afghan people expect NATO and other countries that helped Afghanistan in war against terrorism for long years to pay their intention for settling the problem forever. Because, funding and equipping Afghan forces are not responsive to the current situation of the country. Capacity building made so far is not enough and the process of equipping air force is slow. Afghans expect the donor countries and NATO that are committed to support Afghanistan to support and equip Afghan security forces with up to date weapons to fight successfully against terrorism and eradicate that ominous phenomenon forever and rescue the humanity from the peril of it.
