Fifty-Five Afghan and Pakistani Taliban Killed in Nangarhar Clashes

Jalalabad (BNA) in recent clashes in Nangarhar province, hundreds of Afghan and Pakistani Taliban were killed and wounded.
In the clashes, six security forces were also martyred and eight others wounded.
The clashes started when hundreds of Afghan and Pakistani Taliban attacked on security posts in Hesarak district.
Abdul Khaliq Hesarak district governor of Nangarhar province said BNA, in the clashes 55 Afghan and Pakistani Taliban were killed and 45 others wounded.
According to Hesarak district governor, huge number of attackers after heavy casualties fled to other side of Durand Line.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Zeya Abdulzai spokesman of Nangarhar governor said that six security forces were martyred and eight others wounded in the clashes.
According to him, the security forces launched the operation to clean Hesarak district from presence of militants.
It is said that tens of Pakistani Taliban including Panjabis were among the killed and wounded.
