Kabul (BNA) The House of People in its session ratified the law on Mines, BNA reported.
Chaired by the house chairman Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi, the house also expressed concern over disagreement between president and chief executive officer over cabinet formation, calling for introducing ministers especially on security sectors before London Conference on Afghanistan.
During the proceedings some lawmakers said that since mine extraction pullouts the environment, 5 percent of mine revenue should allocated to the province where the mine exists; while some others opposed the notion, saying giving concession is against 122nd article of the constitution. However, the law on mine was approved with majority of votes. The house also decided to debate the security pact, the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) with US on Sunday.
