New Police Officers Appointed In Kabul PDs

Kabul (BNA) District police chiefs for Kabul city have been changed.
Addressing in a news conference yesterday, Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi, Kabul Police Chief said, “Changes have occurred in all Police Departments and security battalions of Kabul police headquarter, adding 28 new police officers have been appointed as police chiefs for PDs and commanders of security battalions for Kabul city and other department of police headquarters.
Rahimi considered the new appointments as a heavy burden not rewards, stressing that the success of police was in close cooperation with the people
Kabul police chief asserted that Kabul police would take serious action against drug-trafficking, alcoholic beverages, immoralities and other criminal activities.
Recent appointments in Kabul police headquarters have come after reports saying that a number of police officials in Kabul PDs had been appointed based on nepotism and relationship not professionalism.
It is hoped that security condition in particular robbery incidents and other crimes in Kabul will reduce by new appointments.  The Kabul Times
