Tablet-K Keeper and Transmitter Detained in Herat

Herat City (BNA) A person accused of Tablet-K kept and transmitter was arrested by Afghan security forces in western Herat province.
The man was arrested along with a package of Tablet-K from Herat city late yesterday.
Senior security official in Herat told BNA reporter, efforts underway to prevent smuggling and distribution of Tablet-K among youth in the province.
Tablets-K are an electrolyte replenisher. The chemical name is potassium chloride, and the structural formula is KCI. Potassium chloride, USP, occurs as a white, granular powder or as colorless crystals. It is odorless and has a saline taste. Its solutions are neutral to litmus. It is freely soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol.
