Jalalabad (BNA) Recruitment for the police academy launched in eastern zone the other day as according to reports, some 2,000 people from Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar and Nuristan provinces had attended the examination held in Jalalabad.
Head of police academy, Sediqi said that 40 people who secure top marks would be enrolled in the police academy in Kabul.
Meantime, deputy to Nangarhar governor, Hanif Gardiwal while monitoring the test process, said that recruiting youth to police is the only way towards achieving self-reliance in the security field.
According to the program of the ministry for interior, some 600 youths from across the country will be absorbed to the police academy for a four-year course.
