Kabul (BNA) 5 armed oppositions were killed in clearing operation led by police forces in Almar district, Faryab province.
The operation was conducted aiming to clean the district from the existence of armed rebels.
Col. Mohammad Reza Rezayee press in charge of Shaheen 209 army crops said BNA, in the operation 5 insurgents including their notorious commander Mawlavi Mohammad Din known as Shaheed were killed and 3 others wounded.
Rezayee added, 20 motorcycles, some explosive materials and three weapons have been seized and their two hideouts destroyed by Afghan security forces following the operation.
During the operation a policeman was martyred, Rezyee further added.
