120 Insurgents Including Their Commanders Join Peace Process

Aibak City (BNA) Two commanders of Taliban militants along with their 120 men were joined peace process in northern Samangan province.
Col. Mohammad Baqir Massoud security commander of Samangan said BNA, Mohammad Ibrahim a commander of Taliban along with his 100 men and Faisal another commander of Taliban along with his 20 men were joined peace process during a military operation led by Afghan security forces aiming to ensure peace and stability in Dara Souf Payeen district of Samangan province.
With joining of the commanders with their men to peace process, security situation will be improved in several villages of district, Massoud added.
The operation will continue until the hideouts of Taliban militants completely destroyed in different parts of the province, Massoud further added.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Aywaz Biag Oughlo a representative of Ulema council in Samangan said, joining of the commanders to peace process is very important and the military operation conducted in 35 villages of district.
The commanders had active role in anti-government activities, Oughlo added.
