Kabul (BNA) Marshal Mohammad Qasim Fahim met UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan Yan Kobish during which he emphasized on the support of the government of Afghanistan towards election process on its due date.
He noted that peaceful transition of power in Afghanistan will positively impact the future of the country and the government will use all its possibilities that the election is held as per the provision of Constitution.
During the meeting Yan Kobish expressed his support of Afghanistan’s election and said that he will extend support to the election foundations of Afghanistan in this respect.
He added that the world community’s support to Afghanistan is linked to holding of correct and transparent election in Afghanistan.
He added that the world community support outstanding role of the people of Afghanistan in the election and the UN will cooperate with the government for sound holding of the election.
