Kabul (BNA) A spokesman for Breshna Sherkat has said a number of government institutions have not paid their electricity bills so far.
Speaking to journalists in a news conference, the Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat’s spokesman Waheed Tawhidi said more than 25 government institutions including a number of ministries had not paid their electricity bills so far and were owed nearly 3 billion AFG from the company.
Considering not paying the electricity bills by a number of government institutions as a big challenge for Breshna Sherkat, Tawhidi added the Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat could not maintain electricity from the neighboring countries if the bills were not paid on exact time.
He added if the government institutions did not pay their electricity bills in three straight periods, they would be paid 3-5% fine and face with electricity cut.
Tawhidi asked judicial organs to help and cooperate with the Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat in connection with getting the money from the government institutions.
