‘‘We Will Say Hello To Peace Again,’’ Youth

Kabul (BNA) Attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Publications, Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, a session titled ‘A Red Flower and a Book for Peace’ was held here in Kabul the other day, Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
According to the agency, the meeting was held by Khatera Afarinan Cultural Organization and civil society entities at the National Museum.
At the outset, the participants of the session were welcomed with a red flower and a book by mentioned entities’ members and then Baresh Sarwari, the in-charge of Khatera Afarinan Cultural Organization said that the aim of holding such a session was to improve book-reading culture and ask the government to pay attention to historical monuments and cultural heritages.
Afterward, Prof. Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi, the deputy MoIC on publications pointed out at media role on peace, adding today, Afghanistan is known as a country, where is always faced with war and suicide attacks. Thus, this is the responsibility of media to pay heed to peace issues in their broadcasting policy, she added.
She stressed that it is the time to say no to war and suicide and use peace literature, the agency continued.
Calling holding such programs effective in bringing peace and improving book-reading culture, Ms. Mostafavi said that the ministry of information and culture has printed thirty copies of book on book-reading culture and put it into the people access, the agency quoted.
Many of youth were holding the slogan of ‘We will say hello to peace again’ in the meeting and their main reason of participation was to support peace.
