“We Would Prove Balance Development In Action,” CE

Kabul (BNA) Attended by Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the contract of five road construction and a concrete bridge projects cost 4bln Afghani were signed between the ministry of public works and contractor companies at the Sapidar Palace the other day, CE office said in a statement.
During signing ceremony, CE Abdullah said, “We have done this to fulfill part of our commitments.”
Acting minister of public works said, “The first part of Badghis’s Qaisar Laman road lengths 33km and costs 249 mln afg, Faryab’s Chahar Toot-Dahani Ayar road lengths 7km and cost 117 mln afg, Doab road lengths 11km and costs 179mln afg would be constructed within 17 months.
Stressing on UN continued support, UNOPS representative said his entity would help the people and government of Afghanistan to improve.
Stressing on importance of projects, CE Dr. Abdullah Abdullah said such projects would be effective in economic growth, removing unemployment and connecting people.
He asked the contractor companies to hire the locals as professional workers.
Dr. Abdullah assured the representatives of mentioned provinces that speed, transparency and quality of projects would be prioritized.
