Asadabad City (BNA) At least 16 armed oppositions were killed during recent clashes with Afghan National Army (ANA) in relevant areas in eastern Kunar province yesterday.
According to press office of 201 Seylab army corps to BNA, the clashes occurred between Taliban militants and Afghan security forces in Mahiper area, Asmar district of the province, in which 16 rebels including Mulah Masri a local commander of them were killed.
Meanwhile, Taliban were faced with resistance of Afghan security forces and they succeeded to flee from the area.
Also air and artillery forces supported Afghan security forces to defeat Taliban rebels and there were no any harms suffered on Afghan military forces.
