CE Assures of Addressing Badakhshan People Problems

Kabul (BNA) A statement from the Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah quoted him of addressing a crowd in northeastern Badakhshan province and assuring the people to meet their problems.
Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah during a ceremony held on inaugurating Baharak-Ishkashum road construction said resuming the great national project was part of the government commitments for the people of the province, the statement said.
He said retaking Zibak district from the Taliban was a great achievement that the government is lauding and it was committed to maintain security of the country, the statement quoted.
“Afghanistan is facing international terrorism from the world’s four corners mostly focusing on Badakhshan province,” said the statement quoting Abdullah.
Government has a strong will for maintaining security and to eliminate terrorism and there should be no doubt that the government is decisive for defending the country, Abdullah added.
The CE said the chief of army staff had been tasked to assess security situation of Badakhshan province and share his report to be discussed for improving security with the National Security Council (NSC) and that the needed decisions about the effective suggestions to be made, he continued.
According to him, the government was willing people to support their security forces for stability of the country.
The CEO also inaugurated construction of Baharak-Ashkasham highway during his trip to Badakhshan province.
Many of insurgents are deceived by the aliens’ wrong interpretations from religion and they want to impose their policy under the pretext of Islam on the people.
He said serious attention would be paid on the province’s security, particularly the remote districts and the education affairs, as well as on equipment of the security forces in the province.
