Twenty-Three Taliban Militants Killed In Mopping-Up Operations And Clashes

Kabul (BNA) At least 10 Taliban insurgents were killed, six wounded and another arrested during the joint clearing operations led by Afghan National Security Forces in different parts of the country in the past 24 hours.
According to Ministry of National Defense press office to BNA, the operations were lunched in relevant areas of Ghazni, Khost, Kandahar and Badakhshan provinces, in which some weapons, ammunitions and dozens various types of mines have been discovered and neutralized by Afghan National Security Forces.
Also three Afghan National Army personnel were martyred following the operations.
According to another report, thirteen Taliban Militants were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in Ghormach district, northern Faryab province the night before last.
A commander of National Army in the province told BNA, at least 13 armed rebels were killed, while Afghan security forces were busy in clearance of Ghormach district from being of Taliban militants.
There were no any casualties among civilians and Afghan security forces.
