Kabul (BNA) Political Deputy of Foreign Ministry Hekmat Khalil Karzai met yesterday with German ambassador to Kabul Markus Potzel.
According to BNA, in the meeting, while recalling of friendly and historic relations between the two countries Hekmat Karzai considered cooperation of the German government as significant in various political, economic and security sectors particularly in holding regular sessions of the international contact group.
German ambassador to Kabul also by expressing happiness over meeting with Hekmat Karzai congratulated him on his new post as political deputy of foreign ministry. In the meeting, the German Ambassador expressed hope he would make efforts for expansion and strengthening of relations between Afghanistan and Germany with close cooperation and relation with officials and political deputy of foreign ministry. It is worth mentioning that the international contact group’s session would held in Abu Dhabi and hosted by UAE on 29th of Jan under the joint chairmanship of deputy minister of political affairs, Hekmat Khalil Karzai and German special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan Michael Koch.
In the session, representatives of countries and international contact group member organizations would discuss on peace process, good governance, social and economic development and the international community’s long-term cooperation with Afghanistan in particular with security organs of the country.
