Kabul (BNA) The Afghan MoPH has asked the people to donate blood and save life patients.
Although the MoPH reports on promotion of culture of blood donation but once again the authorities of this ministry asked people to vastly participate in this process. Addressing a function held on celebration of blood donation World Day in Kabul city, Minister of Public Health Dr. Suraya Dalil said that with donation of their few drops of blood people save the patient life. Salvation of people life is not only the job of doctors we should also encourage our countrymen to donate blood to our deserving people. Dalil said that although the people participation in blood donation process has been tripled from 1388-1392 but, still more blood is needed to help patients. People may save life of mothers during delivery. Ms. Dalil said that the blood donation world day has been named after “Safe blood for rescue of mother in 2014.
At the same time a number of patients also asked people to donate blood. Saberah 32 who needs blood, asked countrymen to safe patients’ life with donation of few drops of their blood regularly every month. The authorities of the MoPH said that before blood donation every donator is precisely examined and his health is made sure. Talking on essential measures for keeping of donated blood, in equipped blood banks they said that the donated blood is kept under a certain temperature in fridge in well protected laboratories. Under this circumstance, a number of Kabul residents are ready to donate blood to blood banks. Maryam 20 a young girl who has already donated 500 cc bloods to Badakhshan flood evictions is once ready to donate more blood. She said “I am in good health and we should donate blood needy people.” A number of patients said that unfortunately, there is no blood in same hospitals and compatriots are facing with problems. They asked the MoPH to adopt measures in those hospitals which lack blood, because lack of blood in some hospitals, has sometimes caused death of patients.
