Kabul (BNA) Ismail Khan former minister of water and power and first-vice president of Abdulrab Rasoul Sayaf a candidate for presidential elections has survived in attempt to his life in Herat province.
The former minister who was going back home after Friday’s prayer at 2:00pm yesterday was targeted by a suicide attacker in Baghcha Mahter city, Herat province.
Abdul Raouf Ahmadi spokesman of Herat police told BNA, Ismail Khan has not harmed in the incident.
According to the reports, the suicide attacker on the pretext of signing a request came close to Ismail Khan and exploded himself.
Meanwhile, a local official in Herat says, two civilians wounded in the incident, but the officials in Herat hospital reported the injury of a civilian in the incident.
Ismail Khan is a well-known politician and a Jehadi leader.
