17 Taliban Insurgents Killed

Kabul (BNA) 17 armed Taliban insurgents were killed in several combined operations of national police forces yesterday. 
Interior ministry press office said to BNA, the national police forces with the cooperation of national army, national security and coalition forces conducted five cleaning up operations in the outskirts of Kabul, Kunar, Logar, Ghazni and Paktika provinces in which 17 Taliban rebels were killed, two wounded and 26 others were arrested. 
In these operations, 60 kg of narcotic and huge quantity of arms consisted of 24 different types of arms, 300 kg of ammonium nitrate, 1150 light arms and a motorbike were seized by national police forces. 
According to another report, the personnel of national police during their patrol discovered and defused 4 mines which were placed by armed Taliban for terrorist and destructive activities in the vicinities of Herat and Helmand provinces.
