Kabul (BNA) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday between the Ministers of Information Technology, education and higher education to link universities and schools of the country through online information technology system.
Abdul Razaq Wahidi, minister of information technology, said that the MoU was aimed at providing better internet services with equipped computer labs for students at universities and schools’ level.
He said ‘the provision of latest technology would help improve the capacity of students. The project would take five years to complete which would be funded through the development budget of MCIT.
He further added that at the moment $17 million had been agreed for the MoE and more than $3 million for the MoHE.
Farida Momand, the higher education minister, admired the effort of MCIT and said the project would help increase the capacity of students in the area of information technology.
