Kabul (BNA) National security advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar met yesterday with Indian ambassador to Kabul.
In the meeting, both sides discussed preparations for opening of Salma dam in Herat.
National security advisor praised the Indian Republic for funding construction of the dam, adding that India was one of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries which have always provided cooperation with Afghanistan government and people in connection with construction of big and uplift projects.
National security advisor assured the Indian government of preparations for opening ceremony of this big project.
In the meeting, the Indian ambassador to Kabul said that his country hoped that opening the big project would help economic development in the country, assuring of his country’s continued cooperation with the people and government of Afghanistan.
