Kabul (BNA) More than 18 anti-government militias were killed and 18 others were wounded during joint military operations conducted by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) within the last 24 hours across the country.
Ministry of National Defense press office stated BNA, the operations carried out by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress armed oppositions, ensure security and stability and protect the lives and properties of local residents in insecure areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Kapisa, Logar, Paktia, Urozgan, Zabul, Faryab, Balkh, Herat, Khost, Takhar, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and military equipment belonging the terrorists have been seized by ANDSF during the operations, the source added.
It is mentionable that Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are trying to annihilate armed insurgents by launching military operations in different parts of the country.
