KABUL (BNA): The country’s Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Sunday, in Tehran.
In a meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister thanked Mr. Muttaqi for participating in the conference on support of Palestine and praised the positive position of the Islamic Emirate on the issue.
Meanwhile, Minister Muttaqi reminded the effective measures to strengthen the political, economic, trade, and transit relations between Kabul and Tehran.
Foreign Minister Muttaqi also held a detailed discussion with his Iranian counterpart to resolve the situation and problems of Afghan prisoners and refugees in Iran.
For his part, the Iranian Foreign Minister assured cooperation in the matter, according to a statement released by the country’s Foreign Ministry.
Lately, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, traveled on an official visit to Iran to participate in the conference in support of Palestine which was held in the capital of Iran, Tehran.
