Mehtarlam (BNA) Eight Taliban insurgents were killed and six others were wounded in fighting with security forces in Laghman.
Fighting reportedly took place last night when dozens of assailants attacked police checkpoints in Alshing and Alinegar districts.
Selab Army Coprs Media office in the east of the country said in a news release that eight armed Taliban were killed and six others were wounded in the battle.
Security forces says the Taliban tried to seize the checkpoints but failed.
