Dr. Abdullah Reiterates Govt.’s Support to Affected Businessmen

Kabul (BNA) During an extraordinary meeting while reviewing the losses imposed as a result of a fire incident in the capital Kabul, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah vowed to address the demands of a number of markets’ owners and shopkeepers, BNA reported on Sunday.
Visiting the area from near, Dr. Abdullah said the damages were seen to be higher than primary reports, the agency further said.
The blaze has directly and indirectly affected the lives of tens of thousands of people and resulted in huge financial losses to the market.
The minister of commerce and industry, Humayoun Rasa reported about the primary assessments, suggestions and problems of burned markets owners and shopkeepers to the meeting.
Afterwards, Kabul acting mayor said based on instruction of national unity government leadership, two commissions have been formed to start their works in this respect.
CE Abdullah instructed that the commissions should report about their investigations results at its earliest to know about the exact figure of losses and problems so its financial issue to be discussed in the cabinet, adding delay in commissions’ works would not be justifiable.  The markets’ owners and shopkeepers asked the government to cooperate with them in construction, rent, tax and loan services to resume their works.
