Kabul (BNA) Ghazni officials say to have thwarted a massive Taliban attack.
Shafiq Nang spokesman for the acting governor of Ghazni province said that they have arrested three suicide attackers who planned to carry out attacks on government compounds.
Nang added that a fourth suicide attacker was killed during an exchange of fire with the security forces.
He said based on tip-off late yesterday security forces went to the location of the suicide attackers in Ghazni city where a gun battle occurred between the security forces and four suicide attackers.
He added that one suicide attacker got killed and three of them arrested by the security forces. An official source in Ghazni province who asked not to be named said that the suicide attackers were wearing uniforms of Quick Reaction Forces (QRF) and planned to target the QRF in Ghazni city.
