President Ghani, King Salman Discuss Bilateral Issues

Kabul (BNA) At the sideline of Riyadh Summit, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with Saudi Arabia King Khadim Al-Haramain Al-Sharifain Salman big Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which both sides discussed on widening and tightening relations between the two countries, the presidential palace said in a statement.
According to the statement, the meeting was attended by Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and Saudi ministers for foreign affairs, finance and labour.
Calling the summit a good step, President Ghani hoped that the outcomes of the meeting could provide good opportunities on restoring peace and stability in the region and the world, the statement added.
The president added that the results of the meeting on cutting funds to terrorism and its state sponsors were important, the statement continued.
The issue of work visa for Afghan nationals in Saudi Arabia was also raised in the meeting, where the Saudi King instructed the crown prince to immediately act on removing hurdles on issuing visas.
The Saudi King said Afghanistan was an independent country and on old friend of his country, adding I pray for restoring peace and stability in that country, the statement concluded.  The president after performing Umrah, returned home on Tuesday.
