Government to Focus On Infrastructural Projects In New Fiscal Year

Kabul (BNA) The national procurement commission held weekly session chaired by President Ashraf Ghani the other day.
The presidential press office told BNA that the commission approved 12 contracts costing one billion and 121 million Afs for the Ministries of Public Works, Defense, Interior and the Administration Affairs Department as well as the Kabul municipality. It rejected three contracts and returned five more for further assessment. President Ghani emphasized that the new fiscal year should concentrate on the security forces’ essentials and pay serious attention to the big and middle infrastructure projects such as dams and highways in addition to the reforms. The president asked the Ministries and other government organs to have exact plans so the projects and preparation process begin on time in the new fiscal year to provide job opportunities to the people.  Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, CEO Abdullah Abdullah and Ministers for Finance, Economy and Justice were president in the meeting.
