Kabul (BNA) At least 331 Taliban militants including their 10 notorious commanders were killed in recent clearing operations conducted by Afghan National Army forces across the country.
Ministry of National Defense press office in a statement reported BNA, the clearing operations were conducted in different parts of Zamakani district, Paktia province, Khas-Urozgan district, Urozgan province, Shindand district, Herat province, Miyanshin, Panjwahi, Maiwand and Shah Wali Koot districts of Kandahar province, in which 331 armed oppositions including their 10 top notorious commanders were killed, dozens were injured and three other insurgents were arrested.
During the operations some weapons and ammunitions, three vehicles full of explosive materials that prepared for terrorist and destructive activities and 96 rounds of minds have been discovered and neutralized by ANA forces.
It is mentionable, that 7 Afghan National Army personnel were martyred during the operations.
