Kabul (BNA) Over 27 Taliban militants were killed and number of them were wounded during military operations conducted by Afghan security forces across the country within the last 24 hours.
Ministry of National Defense press office stated BNA, the operations were launched with support of Afghan air and artillery forces aiming to suppress armed rebels and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Kandahar-Tarinkot highway and Garashk district of Helmand province.
At the same time mopping-up operations ongoing in insecure parts of Ghazni, Paktika, Kandahar, Urozgan, Ghor, Kunduz, Laghman, and Kapisa provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions, war equipment and military mobilizations have been discovered by Afghan security forces following the operations.
Also four Afghan National Army soldiers were martyred during the operations and Ministry of National Defense officials wished paradise for them from Almighty Allah and great patience to their remained, the source added.
