Minister Safi Considers Role of Art Valuable in Afghan Society

Kabul (BNA) Acting minister of information and culture opened ‘Art Works Exhibition’ on Sunday at National Gallery.
The exhibition, launched by national gallery department on the occasion of 100th anniversary of Afghanistan Independence, included art works as painting, calligraphy, miniature, tailoring, carton, children handicrafts and weaving.
In opening ceremony, acting minister of information and culture Hasina Safi spoke and first offered her deep condolence and sympathy to the families of those martyred and wounded in a suicide attack in a wedding party in Kabul.
“Despite of increasing problems and challenges, we’re not hapless and do have hope to work towards development and rebuilding the country,” Safi said.  Acting minister of information and culture considered role of art and artists as valuable in the society, asserting that artists and youth were art-loving and pen-loving people who were fighting by these instruments.
