Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen delivered speech in the second reporting session of MoIC’s directors, once again expressing concern over deterioration of the country’s 1,200 historic monuments.
BNA reported, in the session held with participation of MoIC’s directors, first Rohul Amin Habibi while welcoming the participants to the session considered improvement of executions process and reporting as aim of the session, wishing further success to the participants.
Following, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, Ghulam Nabi Farahi spoke at the meeting as saying the session was held for improvement of affairs and their efforts were to let relevant affairs be done better than before.
Giving details about the establishment of tourism institute, Farahi said Afghan youths could get training in tourism industry section, cultural and historical issues of Afghanistan.
Later, Deputy MoIC for Cultural Affairs, Sayed Musadiq Khalili spoke at the meeting as saying relations of cultural section with other sections of the ministry were appreciable.
If a problem is created in a section of the ministry, all the sections will suffer the problem, he said.
Khalili also enumerated a series of problems in relevant organs in Zabul, Ghazni, Balkh, Herat and Badakhshan provinces.
In the session, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs for Information and Culture Temor Shah Ishaqzai said, “Our aims are to improve the youth’s talents and enhance awareness level of Afghan youths.”
Touching on elections issues, Ishaqzai said that youth could play vital role in public awareness related to the elections, recalling the ministry’s achievements in freedom of express and other sections.
Following, Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayeed Makhdoom Raheen said, “We’re living in a country where, we are all facing lots of problems.”
He added when, “We see the country’s past, it has changed a lot in the past 12 years.”
Touching on the black era of Taliban regime, Dr. Raheen said, “On that time directors of MoIC had come to work for two hours-from 9:00am to 11:00am”.
The minister said what was the achievement of the MoIC at the time of Taliban? “But today we need hours to brief recent achievements of the ministry related to freedom of express and media.”
He also briefed the session related to achievements of the new system, saying Afghanistan people had faced with repeatedly pains and nobody was assured of tomorrow.
Dr. Raheen added Afghanistan had a large number of widowers, disabled and orphans.
Directors of MoIC reported the session related to last year’s works and achievements, briefing about the next year’s programs.
