Six Insurgents Join Herat Peace Process

Herat (BNA) A group of 6 insurgents, who were previously active in anti-government activities surrendered their weapons and joined the peace process in Ferdosi district, Herat province today.
Security officials in the province say, the insurgents joined in the police forces and they commitment that trying to ensure everlasting peace and stability and cooperate with police forces in the province.
Col. Abdul Baqi Behsoudi police chief of the province welcoming the joining of the group in peace process and assured that strengthen of Afghan security forces limited armed oppositions activities in the country.
Behsoudi invited all armed oppositions groups to join peace process and build their hometown together, otherwise they will be annihilated.
He further added the group led by Mullah Rahim surrendered their weapons and joined the peace process.
According to officials, with the joining of this group the security measure in Fardosi district will improve.
