Kabul (BNA) On the threshold of New Year and spring season, Afghan defense and security organs informed of better preparations and planning for suppressing armed opponent groups and maintaining security during the coming year. Officials for the ministry of defense saying the country’s defense and security forces have always made effort to use all means for the protection and defending the country and will firmly stand against any kind of attacks during the coming year. A spokesperson to the respective ministry assured that the country’s defense and security forces were well-prepared to continued counter terrorism in the country. Meanwhile, officials for the ministry of interior have also informed of full preparation for maintaining security in coming year, assuring that terrorist groups would be suppressed during spring operations that would be soon launched countrywide.
“Afghan Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in close cooperation and coordination with intelligence organs of the country have made serious measures and security plan for 1398 that would be implemented across the country,” Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesperson to MoI, said, adding that the country’s security forces will continue their aggressive attacks in the country. According to the MoI spokesperson, terrorist groups have got weaken as their leaders and commanders are targeted daily in various parts of the country. Rahimi further said that spring operations that been planned by the country’s defense and security organs would be implemented in areas on which intelligence organs have worked. The MoI spokesperson stressed that particular plans and measures were underway for prevention of terrorist attacks during the coming year.
Afghan defense and security officials have made the remarks regarding better security in coming year amid efforts that are underway in national and international level for maintaining peace and ending the ongoing war in the country. Various regional and world countries including US, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are making effort to provide ways for direct talks between the Taliban group and Afghanistan government. It is worth mentioning that security is one of top working priorities for each government. In Afghanistan, National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) are undoubtedly responsible for maintaining security, order and defending the country.
In the past 17 years, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have developed into a collection of professional institutions that are both committed to their mission and highly respected. Although they face major challenges in key areas of capacity, such as logistics and air power, they are able to defend and address any kinds of threats as they are fighting with high impetus for their people and country. Despite all challenges and problems in the country, the Afghan defense and security forces by giving sacrifices and tirelessly efforts are standing and fighting against armed insurgency and defending independence, sovereignty and national integrity.
