Kabul (BNA) Cabinet members who recently grabbed vote of confidence from the Wolesi Jirga took their oath in front of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, according to a presidential palace statement.
At the ceremony which was also attended by First Lady Rula Ghani and first and second Vice President, Director General of Administrative Office of the President (AOP)., Fazel Mahmoud Fazly, congratulated the ministers, adding that his administration was committed to working closely with them to coordinate and be more effective in the agenda and content of the High Council and to make cabinet meetings more effective.
After oath-taking ceremony, President Ghani, as quoted in the statement, congratulated the ministers and thanked the Wolesi Jirga for giving them vote of confidence and wished them success in their duties. “People expect that the system of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan be further strengthened by your powerful arm, cohesive and pure hands, “the president told the minister, according to the statement.
The President also said: “I urge you to implement the constitution, and the more we implement it, the greater we will have trust of the people and the legitimacy of the system goes up the regional and international level.”
