67 Insurgents Perished During Mopping-Up Operation

Kabul (BNA) At least 67 Taliban rebels were killed and 14 others were wounded during military operation led by Afghan security troops in northern Takhar province.
Sunatullah Timor spokesman of Takhar governor told BNA reporter, the clearing operation was launched under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Yasin Zia governor of Takhar and Faqir Mohammad Jawzjani police chief of Takhar to suppress armed oppositions and ensure peace and stability in different parts of Khawaja Bahauddin and Darqad districts of the province.
Several villages of the mentioned districts have been cleared from being of armed rebels during the operation, Timor added.
Mawlavi Qader a senior member of Taliban group was wounded as well.
