VP Danesh, Chinese Chargé D’affaires Discuss Bilateral Ties

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danesh met Chinese embassy’s chargé d’affaires to Kabul here yesterday and both sides discussed issues related to bilateral interests, a statement from the VP office said yesterday.
Hinting to terrorism and insecurity along the two country’s border as common threat, VP Danesh praised Chinese role in Afghanistan stability. He also called China’s initiative of ‘one road one belt’ very important for the region’s economic growth, emphasizing for further bilateral cooperation on the aspect. VP Danesh called economic and business relations important for bolstering the ties, asking Chinese cooperation in easing the process for transaction and transit of the Afghan merchants’’ goods.
Meanwhile Chinese chargé d’affaires called the bilateral relations between the two countries unprecedented, adding common vision was established between the leaders of the two countries. He said his country was committed to play its role in Afghanistan peace and stability. The Chinese official meanwhile said their commercial attaché was trying his best to ease the business cooperation between the two countries, adding China besides having big economic programs for the region, also trying to boost business and economic ties with Afghanistan through following programs. VP Danesh also emphasized on boosting of the cultural cooperation between the cities of China and Afghanistan, asking for establishment of more Chinese language department in the country’s universities, including that of Bamyan University. Chinese chargé d’affaires welcomed the proposal, adding his country would further invest on cultural cooperation between the two countries. He also invited the second vice president, as the government high ranking official to pay a visit to China.
