Paroon City (BNA) At least 15 Taliban militants were arrested during a military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in eastern Nooristan province.
The militants along with their hand weapons were arrested, while they were involved in terrorist activities.
Since three days the operation has started with participation of hundreds Afghan national army and Afghan national police personnel in various parts of Norgram and Douab districts of the province and ongoing now.
A top commander of Afghan national army in the east of the country told BNA reporter, recently 15 Taliban fighters were arrested during the operation in Norgram and Douab districts of the province.
Several weapons and some explosive materials have been seized from the arrested terrorists, the source added.
It is mentionable that, Taliban militants sustained heavy losses during the operation and dozens villages have been clean-up from being of the rebels as well.
Military officials in the east of the country called that the operation will continued until Norgram and Douab districts completely cleared from existence of armed oppositions.
