VP Danesh, Gen. Nicholson Discuss Ongoing Situation

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh met Gen. John Nicholson, Resolute Support Mission commander in Afghanistan the other day, during which both sides discussed various issues such as political stability, security, elections, fighting terrorism etc., Bakhtar News Agency (BNA) reported.
At the outset, VP Daensh thanked Afghanistan international partners particularly RS forces for their cooperation in war on terror, the agency further said.
Lauding coordination between the Afghan security forces and their foreign counterparts in fight against enemies, second vice president said the move indicated the international community and the government of Afghanistan’s joint commitments in fighting terrorism, BNA added.
Calling Afghan people demands on balance growth, infrastructures’ development, access to services, ensuring national partnership in the government and security organs’ structure their absolute right, second vice president said the government of Afghanistan in cooperation and coordination with its international partners was making effort to give positive answer to people demands, the agency continued.
Stressing on continued cooperation of Afghanistan’s international partners particularly the U.S. to tighten political stability in the country, Gen. Nicholson said we would decisively keep moving forward in fighting terrorism.
Fighting Daesh is one of the foreign forces’ priorities in Afghanistan, Gen. Nicholson added. To cover more areas in Afghanistan, we have some plans that would be implemented this year, he said.
