‘Govt. Won’t Interfere In Elections Process’

Kabul (BNA) Releasing a statement on Independent Electoral Complaint Commission’s (IECC) recent decision, the Presidential Palace says government won’t interfere in elections affairs.
“Government’s stance is clear that won’t interfere in elections affairs and support impartiality of the process.  The upcoming elections is needed to be held on due date as it is very important go government,” the statement added.
The statement went on saying that the responsibilities and authorities of the elections commissions were already stated in the law, adding decisions of the commissions should be respected.  “The probable candidates that were removed by IECC, should respect the law and help implement the decision.”
The presidential palace asked Independent Elction Commission (IEC) and IECC to perform their duties in line with the laws of the country.
